How To Make a Hot Dog Baby Costume

One of the most enjoyable events is Halloween. This is an opportunity for you, your friends and family to dress up in wacky costumes and have fun. This is a holiday that seems to be enjoyed by everyone. Year after year, people come up with different costumes that will surely put a smile on everyone’s faces.
It is especially enjoyable if you have a baby that you can dress up. Babies are naturally cute on their own, but babies wearing Halloween costumes can be a lot cuter! If you are running out of ideas on what to get your baby for a Halloween costume, you can create your own. An interesting costume that you can make is a hot-dog costume. Surely, your baby will be the highlight of any Halloween event!
Here are the steps on how you can make your baby a hotdog costume:
  1. Materials for the costume. First, you must gather all the materials that you will need for this project so that you can have everything within your reach when you are already working. The materials that you are going to need are a tan colored baby sleeper, glue, scissors and construction paper (red, green, yellow, brown) and safety pins. If you do not want to use construction paper, you can use pieces of cloth from old clothes in the colors mentioned.
  2. Making the hot dog. The first thing that you are going to cut out is the hot dog. Get the brown construction paper and measure the length of your baby from the chin up to the knees. Cut a hot dog shape from the brown construction paper using the length that you measured.
  3. Making the sauce and relish. The next thing that you are going to do is the ketchup and mustard. For this, get the red and yellow construction paper and draw swirly lines on them. Imagine how the hotdog vendor spreads the ketchup and mustard on the hotdog. Use that as your guide in cutting the sauces for the costume. Afterwards, use the green construction paper to cut out the pickles or relish. Cut out small squares of different sizes.
  4. Wearing the costume. Dress your baby in the tan baby sleeper. Your baby will serve as the bun for the hotdog. Glue the ketchup, mustard and relish on the hotdog that you cut out and wait for it to dry. When it is already dry, use the safety pins that you have to attach the hotdog with the sauce and relish on the tan baby sleeper. Be careful and make sure that the safety pin in pinned correctly to avoid hurting your baby. Viola! Instant hotdog baby!
  5. These are the simple steps on how you can create a hot dog costume for your baby. You can make Halloween even more special by wearing a costume of a ketchup swirl bottle!
You do not need to spend for Halloween in order to have great costumes. All you need is your imagination and a few materials that you can find in your own home! You can easily make a costume for you and your baby that will make you stand out in a crowd.
